Russia says ‘Ukraine’ drones hit two Moscow buildings; 1 Injured, Vnukovo airport closed, flights redirected

Early on Sunday, according to officials cited by the TASS news agency, Ukrainian drones carried out an attack on Moscow, resulting in one person being injured and buildings being damaged. As a consequence of the attack, flights at Vnukovo airport were suspended.

The Russian Defence Ministry stated that they destroyed one Ukrainian drone over the Odintsovo district, while two others crashed within Moscow. TASS reported that one person was injured in a building due to a blast, with emergency services responding.

In response to the drone strikes that damaged buildings in Moscow, one of which was close to the location where the military conducts briefings on Russia’s “special military operation” in Ukraine, Russia declared on Monday that it would retaliate forcefully against Ukraine.
