Moscow/Kiev: The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Sunday that Russian armed forces had taken out approximately 600 Ukrainian troops in the last 24 hours during their special military operation.
The ministry specified that in the Donetsk area, around 250 Ukrainian troops were eliminated in combat, along with the destruction of two armored vehicles, three vehicles, a US-made M777 howitzer, a Polish-made Krab self-propelled howitzer, and a Msta-B and a D-20 howitzers.
In the Zaporizhzhia region, 130 Ukrainian troops were reportedly eliminated, with over 125 casualties in the South Donetsk direction, 50 near Krasnyi Lyman, and 40 near Kupyansk, according to the ministry’s assessment.
Additionally, Ukraine lost a MiG-29 fighter jet to the Russian air force near Bekarivka town in the Zaporizhzhia region, among other military assets lost in combat over the past 24 hours, as per the Russian Defense Ministry’s statement.
Russian air defenses claimed to have shot down 34 Ukrainian drones, five HIMARS missiles, and a JDAM guided munition in the preceding day, according to the ministry’s announcement.
